The site

These terms cover use of the Chicago Software Guys website at chicagosoftwareguys.com. The public pages describe services and let you send a consultation request. Signed-in areas (workouts, timesheets, and streaks) are available only to people we approve. They are not a subscription you can buy on this site.

No payment on this site

This website does not display prices, take a card, or charge a fee. Hiring us for paid work requires a separate written agreement that states the price and any cancellation terms. See the refund policy.

Contact requests

Use the contact form only if you are 18 or older and you are not sending information about a child. You must agree to the privacy policy and these terms before the form will send. Do not send passwords, payment card numbers, or other people's secrets. A request is not a contract. We may decline work.

Accounts

Microsoft sign-in and email codes are for approved users. Keep codes to yourself. We can disable access when a person should no longer have it. Timesheet and workout data may be visible to administrators of this site.

Acceptable use

Do not break the site, probe it without permission, upload malware, or post information you do not have the right to share. Streak photos and names must be ones you are allowed to publish. Public workout stats are visible to anyone who opens that page if the account owner turned sharing on.

What we do not promise

Service descriptions on the home page are an overview of work we can do. They are not a promise of a particular revenue, return on investment, ranking, or uptime. Results of client work, if any, belong in that client's agreement. Sample notes, if you find them, are not live products and are not customer reviews.

SMS

SMS verification is not live. If it is offered later, the SMS terms apply to that program. Consent to SMS is separate from these terms and is not required to use the site.

Intellectual property

Site text, layout, and the Chicago Software Guys name and logo are ours or used with permission. Fonts and libraries are under the licenses listed on the licenses page. You keep ownership of material you send us, and you give us permission to use it to answer you or, for signed-in tools, to operate the feature you used.

Liability

The public site is provided as-is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost profits or indirect damages arising only from use of the public pages. This limit does not apply where the law forbids it, and it does not change a separate written client agreement.
